Review of Detachment (2011) by Tayyab R — 20 Mar 2012
Detachment is when art meets reality. What makes this marriage unique is the fact how art has the capacity to mimic the intricacies of life. Catering to the pessimistic, misery-stricken masses, one is inclined to think that the film depicts a certain shade of human nature, a 'certain' picture, bearing a lot of detail but lacking diversity.
However, it could be argued that misery, be it any extent, is an innate tendency and a constant in homo-sapiens.
