Review of Delicatessen (1991) by Dave K — 21 Jun 2008
I love this movie. It deals with darkly comedic subject material but I feel like Jeunet just can't not make films that are somehow pleasant and joyous and great fun regardless of their contents (....Alien 4 is an exception, though I do enjoy that film as well).
Of all Jeunet's movies that I've seen, this is my favorite role for Dominique Pinon, he's.... delightful is a cheesy but perfect word for his presence in the film.
Just see it, its great.
