Rollicking grab-bag of a film, successfully rolling drama, action-adventure, and horror into a fun & diverting experience as a seedy bunch of hijackers get more then they bargain for after boarding a huge disabled passenger ship.
Enter small-boat Captain Treat Williams & crew as unlikely heroes who combat the seemingly omnipresent multi-tentacled sea-nasty that had previously commandeered the vessel. Kevin J O'Connor, doing his best Steve Buscemi imitation, is amusing as Williams's whining & craven assistant, & the delectable Famke Janssen is along for the ride as the obligatory eye candy-jewel thief.
