Just re viewed this film this afternoon. Purchased the new Kino bluray. In trying to describe this film to my wife (who has never seen it), I could only come up with "goofy fun". This has always been a guilty pleasure since catching this on HBO/Showtime during its initial appearance there in 1999 or 2000.
I caught it because Stephen Sommers name was attached and I really enjoyed his version of The Mummy. Goofy fun seems to be the right description for this B-movie. Bad one-liners, stock characters and disposable bodies - what more does a B-movie need.
Truly enjoyable if you just check your brain at the door.
