Indeed, the special effects are fascinating consider the technological level in 1998. But the so-called heartwarming emotions are so superficial that becomes unbearably disgusting. Films like that are the reasons why Americans think they are the world's saviour.
A good cast wasted, especially for Vanessa Redgrave.
