Review of Deck the Halls (2006) by Ryan B — 26 Dec 2008
The last time I saw a movie with Matthew Broderick in it, he played a soldier getting laid by a prostitute. So, to say that this his latest effort struck a little strangely would be an understatement of some weight.
Perhaps as much as the wasted light props used in this dire, silly film. And it is silly, with Matthew and Danny Devito vying it out as new neighbours keen to outdo each other in yuletide decorating stakes.
Cheap laugh, cheap lights, cheap sentiments. Watch only with a BIG bowl of eggnog. With a double dose of alcohol.
