Review of Death Trance (2005) by Se Young K — 22 Jan 2008
Another reimagining of the genre, more akin to anime then Kurosawa Akira. While I'm all for the current trend the bad direction and mediocre fight choreography make for a lackluster film.
Sakaguchi Tak certainly is growing on me though, making up for what he lacks in action prowess with charisma. Hopefully the hinted sequel will be better but for now I'll settle for Azumi.
