Review of Death Race 2000 (1975) by Mark N — 28 Apr 2012
Gory car accidents coupled with heavy handed social commentary is an uneasy mix to pull off and Death Race does decent job of it. Campy dialogue offsets the brutality, along with requisite 70's bare breasts, just enough to make the bizarre movie memorable and rather silly.
As usual its most fun in watching a 70's take on the future that has already past.
