Review of Death Race 2000 (1975) by Jamie S — 29 Jun 2010
Notably one of the BEST Roger Corman productions, with hilarious performances by David Carridine & a very young Sylvester Stallone (pre-"Rocky") this is a movie to watch when you need to just let your brain go for a zany ride.
As silly, stupid, and mindless this movie can be it does make a valid point about Americans cultural obsession with sex & violence and how we take it off the edge. Probably some of the best cinematography shooting for car chases, crashes, and so much insane driving, that's also one of the best elements of the movie.
