Review of Death Note (2017) by Patrick S — 26 Aug 2017

I really wanted this to be amazing. This movie was so bad, I had to binge the anime just to "get the taste out my mouth". Light and Mia(Misa) were horrible and the actors portraying them should be ashamed.

Willem Dafoe was excellent as Ryuk and the actor playing L was really good, it's a shame that the rest of the movie was utter garbage. Netflix has done some amazing work in the past, if they would have taken their time and put more effort into this, Death Note could have been something special and not a throw away film that doesn't deserve a sequel.

I'm pretty sure I(with no film production experience) could have produced a far better film. Also, this should have been a miniseries not a movie.
