Review of Death Note (2017) by Michael C — 24 Aug 2017
The movie fails to capture the tension within the strategic decisions characters made. However, the complexity of the nature of the book keeps the movie afloat. Willam Dafoe is fantastic as Ryuk, as well as Paul Nakauchi playing Watari.
The movie isn't by any means an awful film, but didn't do justice to the manga and anime.
