Review of Death Note (2017) by Ronnie N — 11 Sep 2017
If you have read the manga or watched the anime or both than you know the story pretty much like all adaptions there are changes but I personally think the changes worked.
Nat Wolff as Light in my opinion he done a good job this version of light is a little different he doesn't seem as smart and twisted as the light character from the anime and manga but by the end you see that he is that character.
Margaret qualley as Mia Sutton I liked her but we don't get hardly any development other than she's a cheerleader she becomes twisted and cares about the death note more than light seems to which I'm fine with that change but there's no development to her becoming twisted.
LaKeith stanfield as L he done a good job the only changes are that he's black which I had no problem with and he covers his face which I also had no problem with he's still the same character from the anime and manga like how he puts together that light is kiar the way he sits and everything else.
Willem Dafoe as Ryuk he was great and scary looking he is just like the character from the anime and manga he finds what light is doing as entertainment doesn't care what happens unfortunately he is kept in the shadows alot in the movie which is a bummer.
The movie looked great I really liked the soundtrack the action was fun I don't think it needed to be longer but I would loved if it was.
