This is what I have wondered the entire time I watched the movie, if I had never seen the anime series if this would have been a better movie because the entire span of the movie I found my self judging it based on the Anime.
The reason I was a little disappointed is because the source material death note anime is so amazing and witty always coming up with clever and inventive ways to stay one step ahead of L and the police.
.. But with that said, it wasn't all bad, I still really like the movie. Just didn't seem like the death note that I had fell in love with. Still worth a watch.
