Review of Death in Venice (1971) by Tom F — 31 Dec 2016
I'm amazed that this film was made and even more amazed that a book on such an incredibly taboo subject was written in 1911. The film is slow to develop which is perfect for the story. It is worthy of the acclaim but this is a serious, film-festival kind of film that I doubt most people would enjoy.
I'd recommend this film only to those that enjoy that kind of thing.
