Review of Dear Frankie (2004) by Sarah G — 24 Feb 2010
Great little story. I have to say I was afraid the ending was going to be too nicely tied up but that wasn't the case. They let the audience figure out where the story will go or where they want the story to go by giving little hints through the film.
This way it seems more like a segment of a life than an ending, which is nice. I also liked how they dealt with the abusive husband/father. They could have gone a lot of different ways but really made it work.
McElhone was great.
