An animated prequel meant to inform players of Dead Space what exactly went down on the USG Ishimura prior to your in-game arrival. It's ok, the animation is rather poor quality and resembles a G.I.
Joe episode of old, but it's rather amusing to see violent alien battles with buckets of blood splashing about. Were this done in 3-D or resembled the graphics of the actual game, it might've been more satisfied.
It's not essential you view this before playing Dead Space - they do a pretty damn good job explaining everything in-game.
