Review of Dead Snow (2009) by Mark D — 24 May 2010
Absolute rubbish this one, as it is basically everything I despise about horror fims: the terrible acting, bad one-liners, inappropriate behaviour to the scene in question, ridiculous scenarios and too many of the classic tropes of what makes horror bad to mention here.
Granted, I was expecting much from it, given what I had heard but those recommending it are obviously people who have different opinions on the modern horror film.
And blood splattering on a camera lens is not cool, it's an uneccessary way to distance ourselves from what we are watching when suspension of disbelief is one of the most powerful tools a filmmaker can use.
