Dead Snow isn't for everyone because it's a genre film catered towards fans of zombies, gore and seeing people get torn apart. And for what it sets out to do, the movie works... sort of, because there are other better movies in the same tone and mishmash of genres that Dead Snow is in.
It was never created to win an Academy Award, but to entertain with gorgeous blood sprays and creepy undead Nazis, and that is exactly what it does.
