This movie is more of an homage to such films as "Evil Dead", "Dead Alive" (aka "Brain Dead") which is referenced in the film via a t-shirt, this movie is a dark comedy and does not take itself too seriously, the story line and whole situation involving the zombies is entertaining to watch from one gag to the next.
