Review of Dead Poets Society (1989) by Natália Q — 18 Dec 2010
"we are humans because we're filled with passion"... wise words...completive words... passion goes beyond any theory, any premise, and could show us the north in our lives from time to time...
As a teacher, it is a total sin not having seen it before. but I am pleased that I saw it today, and I can reflect about many things I saw in it.
However, the only word that comes to my mind to say what gets close enough to my thoughts and impressions about this film is PASSION.
Passion is what drives our lives and in certain point, that passion can define it.. I share with mr. keating that passion for poetry, that passion for teaching (even when it doesn't show), and the fact, that sometimes, I leave the theory aside in order to share with my students some of the passion that leads my life... it's an amazing film and since this dvd I watched was borrowed, I guess I must buy one for my own. I truly hope this is not the only time I can get to see this movie...
