Review of Dead Poets Society (1989) by Donnie D — 23 Apr 2011
I am actually watching Dead Poets Society as I type this for the 3rd time today. I didnt get a chance to see this until 2006. This was a very pivotal point in my life for many reasons. Most of it had to do with my career.
I remember actually crying real tears throughout many parts, identifying with characters like Knox, Neil & Charlie. Robin Williams stated during filming that he was really drawn to the character John Keating because Keating was the kind of teacher he wished that he had in school.
I totally agree with him. This is a 5 out of 5 Star film. It motivated me to keep going the OPPOSITE way of the "flock" & ultimately led to me being a more successful musician.
