Review of Dead Poets Society (1989) by Mohit A — 16 Dec 2012
Hard movie to digest. Strong performance by the future Dr Wilson. Keating is kind, but also underdeveloped (did he leave his love behind in London? why did he choose to teach at this school?). We all wish that our teachers had all been Mr Keating. Neil Perry's father is one dimensional.
Like Midsummer Night's Dream, we hope that the ending is just a dream. 3 Idiots has strong parallels to this film. We all have to think about education is really for.
