Review of Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (1982) by Jacob E — 06 Apr 2008
The beauty of this movie is missed by most. It is cut together with clips from old classic film noir. The entire plot is cut from trying to make little scenes from these other movies fit into this new comic plot.
The films that they had to be cut from had to be found first then a screwball plot build around it. It gets a bump up for going in a direction that hadn't been done really since early Soviet films like Fall of the Checov Dynasty.
