Review of Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (1982) by John A — 06 Apr 2014
A Strange Spoof & Tribute To Films Of The Silver Screen. Director Carl Reiner & Steve Martin Bring This Great Tribute/Spoof Noir In The Style Of The Cinema Classics.
The Film Follows Your Typical 1940's Plot With All The Cliche's Intact. The Film Follows Gumshoe Rigby Reardon (Martin), Who Is Hired By Juliet Forrest (Rachel Ward), To Find Out Who Murdered Her Father. What Ensues Is The Usual Spoof Gags, As Well As Great Script Writing That Allows Seventeen Vintage Hollywood Films To Be Intercut Almost Seamlessly & Gives A Great Interaction Between Martin & The Hollywood Legends, Which Include, Humphrey Bogart, Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster, Ingrid Bergman, Bette Davis, Lana Turner, Joan Crawford, Cary Grant & Jimmy Cagney.
