Review of Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (1982) by Matt F — 22 Feb 2012
I was hoping that this would be more plot driven? Is that the right phrase? It's as if the film becomes secondary to the cut-aways that, at first, as clever and nostalgic but grow old fast. The problem with some of them is that they just don't work, mainly the scenes employing rear-projection.
It's funny to see Martin emulate Noir's past as Rigby, yet the twists and turns that the genre is so known for are to the point where I lost track of the plot (it could be because I was distracted by the historical footage).
