Review of Dead Man Walking (1995) by Nathan H — 20 Oct 2012
This a movie centered on talking rather than action or a plot. Normally this mean death for a movie, but this movie remained interesting despite that fact. The experience of counseling a man on death row is not one that any of us are familiar with, but you feel as if this movie portrays that situation convincingly.
And while it was an anti-death penalty movie, it did not seem to stand in judgement of those who support the death penalty. Plus, I am amazed that libs like Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon could effectively show religious conviction as well as they did.
