Review of Dead Like Me: Life After Death (2009) by Steve S — 03 Sep 2010
One thing I have to say straight off is that i'm glad this at least came back for a movie, because this show was one of the best written shows I have ever seen. that being said, the movie bothered me, but not enough to hate it.
first off, the loss of rube doesn't really bother me. mandy patinkin is great, but not the core of the show. he is replaceable, and henry ian cusick is a fun, if not temporary, replacement. what really bothered me was the replacement of the brilliant laura harris with the far less than mediocre sarah wynter, who has no business being daisy adair, and is not even in the same league as the before mentioned ms.
harris. that being said, on a positive note, the returning actors ellen muth, callum blue, and jasmine guy didn't disappoint, and slid back into these roles, like a comfortable pair of etnies, and death bless em for it.
fans must watch this one, but keep an open mind people.
