Review of Dead Like Me: Life After Death (2009) by Lost D — 26 Sep 2010
Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, although of course it didn't live up to the awesome of the show. I was actually OK with Rube not being there, though I wish they could have gotten the Patink long enough to film a departure scene, but that part worked out OK for me -- the really big problem of course was casting Keitha, Jemaine's crazy Australian girlfriend from Flight of the Conchords (whose terrible American accent did no justice to the work of Laura Harris, who just embodied that character so naturally), who they should have just written out entirely.
Plus her outfits weren't even half as fabulous as the ones on the show, and they clearly had a much bigger budget. So basically, not a boo, but a big MEH. Dead Like Me, you deserved better.
