Retro Reviews, part 1:

I had heard(read?) over the years that this was a pretty good movie, so it ended up in my queue. Well, it showed up the other day. I now wonder why anyone ever thought this was any good. Numerous things happen that are just a bit too contrived. Hell, The Sam Neil character leaving the boat makes no damn sense. Leave your with an obvious nutcase, assuming he'll sleep the whole time? Not likely. Not to mention the idiotic dog. I see above that 95% of critics liked it. I normally side with critics over the general public, but this time they are all wrong.
