Review of Dead Calm (1989) by James S — 03 Mar 2012
Superior psycho thriller, made all the better by it's small cast and location. This is a tense hour and a half filled with the kind of dread missing in many modern thrillers.
Billy Zane is on top form as the psycho picked up by grieving couple Neill and Kidman. The claustraphobia is wove skillfully by director Noyce into the fabric of the movie and the chillingness never lets up for a moment.
Shocking, scary and tremendously good fun.
