Review of Day Watch (2006) by Marc B — 24 Oct 2009
I find there is something different about Eastern European movies, particularly their thrillers and horror movies; the producers use a lot more shadows, lighting, storytelling and acting to bring terror onto the screen. While Night Watch (the first in the series) followed this tradition more closely, Day Watch borrows from it's American counterparts only in the area of high speeding cars and special effects, and continues in the Eastern European tradition.
Overall, this is a very good movie borrowing from the eternal battle between good and evil.
