Review of Day Watch (2006) by Paul R — 09 Oct 2012
A great second film in the Night Watch Trilogy that criminally never got it's third part. A very different story from the book but with quite suprising results. The second film benefits greatly from not having to overly explain itself as Night Watch had already set the basic rules out well.
This story revolves around the Chalk of fate - enabling history to be rewritten. Excellent character building in this film which couldn't be squeezed into the first due to massive back story required.
Interesting to see Svetlana & Yegor fighting for Anton. I like the idea of the Chalk of Fate... What would you change? Great fantasy film. Amazing to watch. Visually stunning and an extremely interesting and ideas packed story.
