Review of Day of the Woman (1978) by Anney S — 21 May 2009

This film was banded due to the graphic nature of the rape scene back in the 70's, then was released on DVD in 1998.

So does this meen that pepole have got more use to violence over the years since the 70's or was it wrongly banded by some prude virgins?

I would go for the first out of the two. This film was way ahead of its times. The violince was just not right for people to be watching back in the 70's.

I have seen worse scences in more moden movies than this, but this film does make for a great slasher tale of revenge.

Some of the kill scences in this movie are far more brutal than the rape. If your a fan of slash, gore fest horror movies you will love this movie!
