Review of Day of the Woman (1978) by Steven M — 16 Feb 2013
Extremely shocking and gruesome, but lacks any real support or development to give the mortifying events meaning. In my opinion, anyone who sees this film as a meditation on the dark nature of male sexuality or the gruesome reality of rape is exaggerating the real motive of the film- to show rape and violence in a movie.
Acting and cinematography go well. Absolutely no music.
