Review of Day for Night (1973) by Justin B — 25 Jun 2007
After seeing this movie, Godard sent Truffaut a lengthy, borderline-incoherent letter that basically called him a liar responsible for the decline of French cinema. Truffaut responded with an even longer (and even more brilliant) letter calling Godard a manipulative, hypocritical shit.
They were both correct. The point being, go watch Jules and Jim or Masculin Feminin instead.
