Review of Day for Night (1973) by Jason L — 25 Aug 2008
Essential viewing for anyone even remotely interested in the process of filmmaking. Jacqueline Bisset and Truffaut longstay Jean-Pierre Leaud are of course great, as is the rest of Altman-esque ensemble cast, but it's Truffaut who is the real star of Day for Night.
Scene after scene is brilliantly scripted and directed. The last line is especially great.
