Review of Dark Water (2012) by Howie V — 09 Jan 2011
I, usually, pass on ghost stories but Jennifer Connelly and company got me to bite. You can't really cuddle to this one because "Dahlia" and "Kyle" are constantly at each others throats. It's kind of like, "Mommy just hit daddy with a golf club and we don't feel like playing anymore.".
This one systematically takes you out of your comfort zone; as though they pour that "water" slow - at first. I suppose it is a bit like The Shining...maybe...not really...second cousins? At any rate Dark Water is spooky AND classy. Not your typical horror movie. It makes you wonder - among other things - whether or not ghosts are there for a reason? Thumb up!
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,.
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." - Hamlet.
