Review of Dancer in the Dark (2000) by Andy S — 31 Dec 2012
Björk is unforgettably unbelievable as the new female holder of a "Golden Heart" in von Trier's final trilogy delivery of naivety. I'll be damned if this is not a revolutionary musical within nowadays moviemaking. It is not meant to receive the approval of everybody, especially since the movie's idealized tone is a great diversion from the director's peculiar cinéma vérité style, but as long as a project remains anti-Hollywood, most of the times it will receive my full approval.
97/100.
