Review of Dance of the Dead (2008) by Justin L — 27 Mar 2011
This is one of the more fun independent horror films I've seen in some time. It feels like a 90s high school comedy but with zombies. Think Can't Hardly Wait but with people getting eaten and a gym coach that thinks he's Rambo.
The humor is just toungue in cheek enough to not be taken too seriously and none of the jokes really fall flat, hell, even the physical humor works and I usualy can't stand that. Another huge plus is that the gore is all practical, no CG blood here, atleast not that I could tell.
By far one of the better genre entries I've seen in a while, with a little bit of trimming and some better pacing it could be better but I'm certainly not complaining.
