Not a total waste of time really but not a Shaun of the Dead either, which is what it seems to be trying to be. I am not opposed to "fast zombies" either, but zombies that shoot out of the ground running, as if catapulted from their coffins while sprinting, was a little goofy.
All the zombie-comedy cliches are here but done a little better than most of the low budget zombie flicks out there. Minimum or maybe even NO CGI effects.
