Review of Dagon (2001) by Carlos S — 23 Nov 2008
This is a really good H.P. Lovecraft adaptation based on 2 of his stories, "Dagon" and "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", which is probably my favorite story of his. The setting is different from the stories but thats not really a big deal, the look and feel of the film are spot on, the village is creepy and very damp, you can almost smell the rot. The village inhabitants are quite a bit more 'altered' than they are in the story and some of them are very effective.
Overall, this is worth a look if you are a horror movie fan and a must see for Lovecraft fans.
