Review of Dagon (2001) by Jon C — 24 Oct 2013
This isn't a very good horror movie.
It's got great ideas but none of them are that interesting.
The pacing is so unbelievably droll and takes forever to get things started.
Paul is being chased in the night of rain and that's about it.
You don't get to see the sea creatures that much and even their presence explained is half-assed.
The effects also look very cartoony saying this film's budget has much to be desired.
Aside from one gruesome death scene there's nothing here that will keep your attention because of the constant meandering around.
The twist ending was also very out-of-place and didn't sit well.
This was a very drawn-out disappointment.
