Review of Dad's Army (2016) by Trilobiteg — 05 Feb 2016
Yes, it's problematic at times. The plot-line with it's twists is predictable for a war time comedy and not every laugh strikes as hard as they are sectioned out to be, but as a homage to the original series, this is charming to the maximum degree.
Blindingly humble from all corners, this sitcom to film do does not take itself too seriously and with that comes massive respect. Good show chaps, and with an all star cast the acting makes for even more comfortable granddad styled humour.
To describe it best , Dad's army is like a family recipe. Not the best of meals to any extent, but it is warm and clogs your arteries with raw British chemistry.
