Daddy home is the second film to pair Will Ferrel with Mark Walberg for another comedy adventure. The film is a rather lazy comedy throwing a lot of comedy tropes at you. The films comedy will satisfy those who accept generic humor and gags as high quality but overall the film is formulaic and follows a basic and predictable premise that overall a step backwards in direction from what Will and Mark have been able to do in past comedies.
