I really love this genre and period pieces about war but I have to say this is a bad movie. It takes a lot for me not to be able to sit through a whole movie. I don't know what happened to Spike. I loved some of his past movies such as 25th hour.
Miscasting was probably the biggest issue along with just bad story telling.
