Review of D3: The Mighty Ducks (1996) by Jackson D — 21 Jan 2009
Not quite the same charm as the first two, but it still has elements, and the original cast in their respective parts, so I am always grateful that they didn't bring in new actors to play "old" characters. This movie is a little less "epic" and the believability that they beat the varsity team is a little out there, but the humor from the first two is much the same.
One of my favorite scenes is when they are showing everyone sleeping, and the two "Bash Brothers" are jumping up and down on their bed, listening to hard-rock and not going to sleep at all.
The ending is traditional for a Ducks movie:
Hey look, we're this team!
Oh Shit! We're LOSING!
We're not ____(Team Name Here)___, "WE ARE DUCKS!".
"QUACK".
"QUACK".
QUACK.
QUACK.
QUACK.
QUACK.
QUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACK.
*Random people from rest of movie who either didn't like them, or didn't get enough lines: "QUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACKQUACK".
FLYING V EVERYONE!
Hey! Look! We won!
