Review of D-Tox (2002) by Zq O — 16 Dec 2008
This one could've been so much more. Good actors and a good director doesn't always mean a good movie. The first half hour had me studying the picture and fully focused with Sly going the darkest I've seen him in a role yet.
Once the "clinic"" scenes kick in, we're introduced to 10 or so characters that have no time to flesh out. The pacing is way too fast for its own good (who just died?) and the editing is godawful (how did Stallone just end up there?).
I will admit to being amused and the whodunit did stump me, but there was so many plot holes and the script got so ridiculously random that I stopped caring several times. Watch it if you're a Stallone fan just to say that you did.
Otherwise, rent Cobra.
