Review of Cutthroat Island (1995) by Nathan N — 05 Oct 2009
When Hollywood's biggest flops are discussed there are an elite few. Battlefield Earth, The Adventures of Pluto Nash, etc. Among the miserable elite is Renny Harlin's Cutthroat Island but unlike most in its fraternity, this pirate epic deserved better.
It isn't a great movie or even a realy good movie but it is a GOOD movie. The story is simple, the action is NON-STOP and it just means well. I can honestly say I prefer this film to the POTC films.
It's very silly and a little too long but it's also a fairly good time.
