Ok, so Cutthroat Island was a failure in the box office and never garnered the greatest attention. And there have always been better pirate movies like Hook or the Pirates of the Carribean series. But I admit that this was pretty entertaining swashbuckling pirate action flick.
Not the greatest cast, yes, but Gina Davis and Matthew Modine did pretty well enough. Unlike the other pirate films though, this is really action packed with some great direction from Renny Harlin. If you care more about action, and the other pirate movies didn't give you enough action, Cutthroat Island is a decent choice to watch.
