Review of Cul-de-sac (1966) by Gabriel K — 28 Jun 2014
A relatively early effort from Polanski. The story is somewhat eccentric, trying to combine thriller with dark comedy. I can't say that it works entirely, but occasionally it strikes moments of brilliance.
There's also a hint at social satire, as the main 3 characters represent the stereotypes of their respective nations (England, France, and America).
